Well, the Obamarxist was out in full demagogue mode today as he lied and spun his way through his press conference on Socialized Heathcare today.

Medical Bankruptcies: A Data-Check

President Obama’s kicking off his health care reform today in the worst possible way: with a mischaracterization of data.

“The cost of health care now causes a bankruptcy in America every thirty seconds,” Obama said at the opening of his White House forum on health care reform. The problem: That claim, based on a 2001 survey, is simply unsupportable.

The figure comes from a 2005 Harvard University study saying that 54 percent of bankruptcies in 2001 were caused by health expenses. We reviewed it internally and knocked it down at the time; an academic reviewer did the same in 2006. Recalculating Harvard’s own data, he came up with a far lower figure – 17 percent.

It’s about time that Pravda actually starts putting what this clown says under the microscope. The battle against the government taking over Americans healthcare is beginning, and if the liberals win this one… your life could be on the line. 

You see folks government destroys everything it touches. Look at Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the National Health plans in Canada, France, Britian… they are all failing… and worse yet rationing care and services as they are going down. You want that cancer drug… some bureaucrat will decide you can’t have it because it costs too much. You need that liver transplant… we’ll see ya in a couple years…

I chronicled the life-costing problems with European and Canadian socialized healthcare programs in a post almost 2 years ago, things have only gotten worse for them since then.
